Samsung refrigerator error code

Samsung side by side error codes

Error Codes
Error Code Description Solution
1C or 1E Freezer duct sensor Open the freezer duct in freezer compartment and check the sensor fixed in the duct or other location except evaporator coil that is called freezer sensor. Check it on multimeter set on 20..K range, if it shows 0 or 1 then replace it. If it shows 4K to 6K at normal room temperature then check its wiring and connectors if it is broken or gone rusty. If wiring and connectors are okay, then replace the main PCB.
2C or 2E blinking error Fridge sensor error Open the fridge duct in the fridge/ref compartment and check the sensor fixed in the duct or other location except evaporator coil that is called ref sensor. Check it on multimeter set on 20..K range, if it shows 0 or 1 then replace it. If it shows 4K to 6K at normal room temperature then check its wiring and connectors if it is broken or gone rusty. If wiring and connectors are okay, then replace the main PCB.
4C or 4E blinking error Freezer defrost sensor Open the freezer duct in the freezer compartment and check the sensor connected on the evaporator coil. That is called the freezer defrost sensor and it has been either short or open. Check the ohm value of the sensor with a multimeter set on 20..K range, if it shows 0 or 1 then replace it. If it shows 4K to 6K at normal room temperature then check its wiring and connectors if it is broken or gone rusty. If wiring and connectors are okay, then replace the main PCB.
6C or 6E blinking error Room ambient sensor error Open the panel of the main PCB and check if any sensor is available nearby or open the upper hinges cover and check if a sensor is available there. That is the ambient sensor. Remove and check on the multimeter.
8C or 8E blinking error Ice maker sensor Open the freezer and check a sensor available connected to the ice maker unit. Remove and check on the multimeter.
13C or 13E blinking error Humidity sensor Open the fridge/ref compartment and remove the duct. Open the fridge duct in the fridge/ref compartment and check the sensor fixed in the duct or other location except the evaporator coil that is called the humidity sensor. Check it on multimeter set on 20..K range, if it shows 0 or 1 then replace it. If it shows 4K to 6K at normal room temperature then check its wiring and connectors if it is broken or gone rusty. If wiring and connectors are okay, then replace the main PCB.
21C or 21E blinking error Freezer fan motor Open the freezer duct and check if the freezer fan is jammed or blocked or if connectors have gone rusty. Check the fan motor on a 12VDC supply externally. If not working, then replace the fan motor.
23C or 23E blinking error C fan error Fan near the compressor is not working. Fan is jammed or blocked or connectors have gone rusty. Check the fan motor on a 12VDC supply externally. If not working, then replace the fan motor.
24C or 24E blinking error Defrosting error Check the heater, thermal fuse, and defrost sensor.
26C or 26E blinking error Icemaker error Check if water is supplied properly in the icemaker by pushing the test switch given below the icemaker unit. If not working, then replace the icemaker unit.
27C or 27E blinking error Damper heater error Check the connection of the damper. If it is proper, then replace the damper.
41C or 41E blinking error Communication error Error is seen if the display and main PCB connection are broken. Check wiring continuity and connectors. If these are okay, then replace the display and/or main PCB both.
44C or 44E blinking error Communication between main PCB and inverter PCB Check wiring and connectors. If found okay, then replace both PCBs.
C71 or E71 Freezer sensor sense rise in temperature in freezer compartment Reason may be freezer defrost cycle not working, freezer door was opened for a long time, gas-related issues.
C72 or E72 Fridge section abnormal temperature Check as C71 given above.
C81 or E81 Compressor starting issues Reason 1 – Gas choke, 2 – Condenser fan not working, 3 – Compressor locked, 4 – Inverter PCB fault, 5 – Input power supply.
C82 or E82 Inverter PCB fault Replace the inverter PCB.
C83 or E83 Compressor wiring issues Check and replace the compressor wiring.
C84 or E84 Compressor locked Replace the compressor.
C85 or E85 Low voltage input supply Check voltage and replace the inverter PCB if required.
C86 or E86 Over voltage Check the input power supply voltage. It should be under 250 VAC.

Samsung Twin cooling refrigerator

Error Codes
Error Code Description Solution
–23C Freezer Defrost Error Check heater and Thermal fuse
–21C Ext Sensor Error Ext sensor available near main pcb and or door hinges.
–19C Freezer Sensor Error Freezer sensor available in freezer duct.
–17C Ref Sensor Error Ref sensor available in Ref compartment duct.
–15C Freezer Defrost Sensor Error Freezer defrost available in freezer compartment on cooling coil.
1C Freezer fan error Freezer fan available in freezer duct.
2C Ref fan error
3C Compressor error Check compressor wiring and or inverter pcb.
You need to check additional error on inverter PCB. A red LED will glow continuously during compressor working condition. If any fault occurs in compressor or inverter pcb, that LED will blink.
