A Green will blink on main pcb if any component failure or Disconnected from main pcb as below table.

Blink Sequence | Error Description | Solution |
---|---|---|
1 time | Defrost sensor error | Check the defrost sensor and wiring. |
2 times | Knob dial error | Inspect the knob for proper operation. |
3 times | Ref compartment sensor error | Verify the sensor connection and functionality. |
4 times | Defrost circuit error | Check defrost timer and heater. |
5 times | Ambient sensor error | Inspect the ambient sensor for damage. |
No blinking | Normal operation | Continue regular monitoring. |
A tactile switch is given on main pcb between components to testing cooling and defrosting system of LG refrigerator, we can press switch to test as below sequence.
LG Fridge Test Mode
Test Switch Operation | Description |
---|---|
1 Time Press | Start compressor instantly with fan motor. If the fan motor is faulty, it will either stop or run for a 20-second interval. |
2 Time Press | Start defrost heater and stop working compressor and fan motor. The defrost heater starts if the defrost temperature is below 0 degrees Celsius and will remain on until the freezer temperature goes to 13 degrees Celsius. |
